Overview
Tandem is a next-generation real-time digital auction house. They needed an all-in-one auction management dashboard that empowers auctioneers to run auctions smoothly and lets bidders submit offers with zero delay. The interface combines rich analytics panels with a minimalist, distraction-free bidding canvas.
Challenge
Bidding portals depend heavily on live feedback. Standard HTTP polling was slow and caused desynchronized bid states. Furthermore, auction managers had a hard time managing visual assets and inventories on the fly, resulting in administrative bottleneck.
Approach
We centered the product experience around WebSockets and real-time state synchronization. Key features implemented include:
- A live visual timeline of items.
- Dynamic bidding panels that update instantly without page refreshes.
- Sleek interactive analytics charts showing bid histories.
- Light, performant page weights for mobile buyers.
Design Solution
The final layout presents a clear hierarchy. Active listings are framed in glassmorphism grids that highlight the current bid and closing timers. A prominent call-to-action button responds to hover states with a bright purple border glow, prompting users to interact when an auction is reaching its climax.
